When do we play?

Consult the printed schedule that was already provided.  If you can’t find it, please let me know and I will email another copy to you.

What times do we play?  -----  Games are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

4:30 – Junior Varsity

5:30 – Varsity

What days and times do we practice once school starts?

We usually practice every Monday - Friday until games start.  Practices start right after school at 2:45 and end at 4:30.  All players need to be picked up or have a ride at the gym by 4:30 every practice day.  All practices are mandatory.

Do we ever play on Saturdays?

Yes – we play in tournaments on a few Saturdays – right now we are committed up to 4 weekend tournaments for the fall (3 Varsity and 1 JV)

What do our team fees go towards (Team fee will be $200 + $50 for camp + if necessary we might be doing some outside fund raising this summer – car wash, candy sales, etc )

ANYTHING our team needs – examples are:   Girls uniforms (jerseys, shorts, socks, t-shirts, etc.)  – equipment (Balls, poles, new nets, cables, etc.) ---concession stand start up, referee fees, tournament entry fees, etc.

Anything else I need to know?

• Late pick-ups from practices and/or games are an issue – please be on time or call someone to pick up your player – 3 late pickups (considered to be 15 minutes or more) will be grounds for dismissal from the team

• Our team is a club sport – all decisions rest with the head coaches.  If you ever have an issue you wish to discuss, please wait until the next day and make a phone call, send an email, or request a meeting.    Discussions regarding team matters will not be held during or after games or practices.

• We focus on the “team” - not individuals, grade levels, or ages ---we strive to get everyone as much playing time as possible and make all decisions as to what will best help the team at the time and for the future.  Our goal is to send as many girls on from KDDC to play at the high school level and beyond – we run our team as a training ground for that opportunity.    We love the sport of volleyball, but we also want our girls to be great representatives of their school and community.
